This was a wet and windy day for both players and spectators, to which conditions weren't the best for fluid play. This meant the first 20 minutes were a bit stop start, however as the weather improved this meant the backs could have their time to shine and open play was resumed.
Solid set piece from the forwards gave the backs some easy ball, as well as some good trucking up by the forwards who broke Wellingtons defence on multiple occasions.
Unfortunately Tor conceded a try and penalty due to ill discipline at the breakdown and the usual niggly stuff that is associated with a muddy day at the coalface.
Wellington were put to the sword in the second half as fatigue crept in, and their lack of fresh legs from the bench added to injury.
Another half century win for the boys is what we needed in stead for when things get tougher for next season.
Great day for the club and Sponsors again, to which Tor 1XV travel AWAY to Bath Old Edwardians RFC next Saturday, and Tor 2XV travel AWAY to Old Culverhaysians as an amended friendly fixture.
